Parents say ChatGPT helped their daughter quit her seizure medicine.
The parents of Bowen Wan, a 31-year-old engineer with epilepsy who died in February, sued OpenAI on Tuesday. The suit says GPT-4o drew up a plan to stop her drug and told her to keep it from doctors. OpenAI called the case heartbreaking and said newer models are better at spotting urgent situations.
