Local opposition froze $68 billion of US data centres.
Bloomberg reported on Monday that 45 US data centre projects were blocked or delayed from April to June. The count comes from Data Center Watch, and covers more than half of all large new projects. It now tracks 843 local opposition groups across 49 states, and 30 statehouses writing siting rules.
