Alibaba's new image model is open but off-limits for business.
Alibaba released Qwen-Image-2.1 on 20 September, a model that both makes and edits pictures. Anyone can download the weights, but a new licence bars the commercial use earlier versions allowed. The company published no benchmark scores, and no independent test exists yet.
