An AI policy fellowship pays $18,000 and skips the tech degree.
The Institute for AI Policy and Strategy is taking up to 45 fellows for spring 2027. No technical background or policy experience is required, and you choose a research or applied track. The programme runs 22 February to 14 May in Washington, London or remotely, paying $18,000 or $24,000. Applications close on 27 September.
Why it mattersAI rules are being written now by a small number of people in a few rooms. This is one of the few paid doors into those rooms that does not need code.
