Google is handing teachers free AI badges in 15-minute lessons.
Google opened a free AI Educator Series for school and university teachers on 3 September. Each module takes under 15 minutes and ends with an ISTE-aligned digital badge. New modules arrive on the first Wednesday of every month, and nothing costs money. A ten-hour Badge-a-thon runs on Saturday 19 September, from 9am to 7pm US Eastern time.
Why it mattersSchools keep asking teachers to use AI without paying for the training. This closes part of that gap at no cost, in bites short enough for a free period.
